I actually use this outside on my front porch. I'm not able to nail a hook into the walls, so I was looking for some way to hang some windchimes, and this was the perfect solution. Looks very cute, sits right on the porch wall. I gave it 4 stars because it was a little hard to get the black metal part to stick into the wooden base. Struggled with that a little bit, had to get my husband to work at it. But, hey, it seems pretty secure now. Looks really nice out there. Not sure how it will hold up in a storm, but it's built for inside, and so far, it's been sturdy enough outside, too.

This item is good quality and works well with the wind chime that I purchased. It was, however, larger than I had expected.
